HOSTED BY: The Prattville Swim League

LOCATION: Pratt Park, Prattville, AL

PURPOSE: Popularize swimming to summer league swimmers and offer an opportunity to race against athletes in the Central Alabama Region.

MEET FORMAT: This is a short course open swim meet.  All events are timed finals.  There will be a total of 70 events held over one day.

7:40 AM (First session)
8:20 AM (Second session)
9:15 AM Competition

FACILITIES: Outdoor 8 lanes 25 Yard and 50 meter pool with non-turbulent lane lines.  Competition will be in the 25 yard pool.  Warm-up/cool-down lanes available during meet.  Water depth for racing starts during competition is 6 feet.  Daktronics electronic timing system using touch pads will be used with single button and stop-watch as backup.

RULES: Current USA Swimming's technical rules will govern the meet.  Southeastern Swimming Inc. safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will be in effect.

ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers shall be registered through USA Swimming, Inc., MYSSL, YMCA, or ARPA.  Age is as of June 1st.

ENTRIES: A swimmer may swim four (4) individual events and two (2) relays.  HY-TEK meet manager software will be used.  Teams should submit entries on a 3.5” disk from HY-TEK team manager (accompanied by a hard copy printout for proofreading) OR should submit entries using the form at Attachment 3.  Entry times are assumed to be in yards unless otherwise indicated.  Meter times will be seeded according to HY-TEK conversion factors but will be printed as entered.  If any entry error is due to the host teams, the swimmer will be deck-entered into an open lane of the heat nearest his/her entry time or in a new heat.  The entire event will not be reseeded.  A swimmer may not scratch from one event to enter another event.  There is no penalty for scratch at the block.  For USA registered swimmers, include USA Swimming registration numbers.

ENTRY DEADLINE: MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2011.  Entry package should consist of:

1. Completed Attachment 2 (Payment Form) with Payment Check
2. HY-TEK entry diskette and hardcopy printout OR completed Attachment 3 (Meet Entry Form) OR an email with the HY-TEK entires attached.
3. Completed Attachment 4 (Release)

The package must be received, NOT postmarked, by deadline. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the meet director, space permitting.

DISABLED SWIMMERS: An information sheet for disabled swimmers is at attachment 5. IT MUST BE USED. This form is required for insurance purposes.  It also provides information necessary for meet management to prepare the facility and will enable the meet referee to ready the stroke and turn judges.  The form contains personal, swimming and medical information.

FEES: $10.00 Per Swimmer. Make checks payable to the Prattville Swim League. Late entries will be accepted only if space is available – late entry fees increase to $12 per swimmer.

SCORING: Scoring will be accomplished to determine top eight swimmers in each age group.  Individual events:  9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

AWARDS:

The top eight swimmers in each age/gender group will receive recognition: 1-3 trophies and 4-8 Medals. There will be no team awards.
