Take I-65 North towards Birmingham.  Take exit 250 to merge onto I-459 South toward Tuscaloosa.  Take Exit 1 toward Bessemer, taking a right off the exit onto Eastern Valley Rd and then taking an immediate left onto McCalla Rd.  Follow this road about a mile and then turn right onto 4th Ave SW.  The YMCA is about another mile down this road on the right side.
